History

Robs music has been cultivated since the age of four. First taking up the guitar and later the piano. At School Rob received his first Gold award for singing at the age of six and went on to spend many hours on stage and backstage which would earn him full colours status twice for drama. He received an acting award for his roll as Mr Samsa in Kafka's Metamorphosis. This play won the R.A.P.S one act play festival in 1985 and went on to showcase at the Grahamstown festival. Rob signed his first entertainment contract, while still at school, at the age of sixteen and went on to perform at most of the Southern Sun, and Sun International Hotels around Southern Africa. He also performed at The Moulin Rouge, The Park Lane and The Ambassador Hotels in Hillbrow in the mid 80's to Talking Heads  in Rocky Street, Diggers Grill And Late Night All's at Bruma Lake in the Late 80's. All this time playing at numerous corporate and private parties. Rob was lead vocalist in the band "Odyssey" in the early nineties with Leon Mervis, Brin Addison and Neil Ford. Later Rob and Leon formed the great Duo "Anything Goes" and performed country wide.. In the early 90's Rob went to Ireland for over a year and performed all around the country taking time out to perform in The Far East for the three months. He returned to South Africa and later did more trips to The Far East.. In the later 90's Rob moved to Cape Town and performed at venues like Quay Four, Naughties, Cantina Tequila and Watney Girls. After a year of writing music he returned to Johannesburg and performed at The Waterfront Arms, The Firken, O'Hagan's, Banbury Cross and so many more venues including many  wedding venues, casinos, major events venues and private homes. Rob was at Montecasino in Fourways for 8 years. From Chianties Show bar for a two year stint to Cobblestones Pub where he played for 6 Years. He  performed for 2 years on Sunday afternoons at The Plazzo Hotel Montecasino and is currently at Marc Antony's, Emperors Palace, and Cappello's in Greenside.
